MID-MICHIGAN -- Saginaw County Prosecutor Mike Thomas has a new job.
According to Attorney General Bill Schuette, Thomas has been hired as special assistant attorney general.
Thomas will serve in Genesee County with prosecutor David Leyton.
Schuette says there is a need for a well-respected prosecutor in Genesee County.
Thomas lost his Saginaw County Prosectuor role after being defeated in the Democratic primary.
