How can Flint help reduce it's dubious ranking as the most dangerous big city in America? A local pastor says try God.

Pastor Chris Martin is a former Flint school board member. He's the Pastor of Cathedral of Faith Ministries in a former school. His son Cameron is the youth pastor of the church. Together they are hosting a series of events to help reduce crime in the city.

Specifically, on Friday they're hosting "Friday Night Live". At 7 pm at the church, choirs and groups from Flint and Saginaw will sing and pray for an end to the violence. Then on Saturday there will be a city-wide youth symposium. It will feature local youth pastors, education and elected leaders. They'll talk about what can be done in a panel discussion at the church at noon on Saturday. Then on Sunday, there will be a special youth service featuring a yound adult and youth revival.

Cameron says he's proud of his dad. Both admit, strong father-son relationships are lacking in the city and that's contributing to the problem.
