FLINT -- The Genesee County Prosecutor has charged a 54-year-old Forest Township woman for the murder of her husband.
Diane Dawn Arellano is charged with open murder, felony firearm and domestic violence in the shooting death of her husband 65-year-old Michael Anthony Arellano.
According to police, On March 1, 2013, Michael Arellano's stepson arrived home from work and found Arellano laying face down in the basement of their home, suffering from two gunshot wounds.
Arellano was pronounced dead at the scene.
Diane Arellano was scheduled to be arraigned in 67th District Court Wednesday afternoon. She is being lodged in the Genesee County Jail.
