LAPEER -- In Lapeer, along with all the standard learning that comes with middle school, something unique in the state. Rolland-Warner Middle School is among just a few schools across Michigan  that offers an Archery Club. Some superintendents have resisted the idea because of safety concerns. But the Lapeer School district assures parents and others that it's done safety.

No one has been hurt during the archery club’s practices that include giving each student a bow and arrows and teaching them how to use it. It's all part of the school’s outdoor club. The program is made possible by a grant from Whitetails Unlimited.
