FLINT -- A Michigan State Trooper from the Flint Post was taken to the hospital after a pursuit ended in a crash early Tuesday morning in Flint.

The incident occurred around 4:20 a.m. when troopers were assisting Bath Township P.D. with a vehicle pursuit, according to an MSP press release.

The pursuit began in Bath Township, Clinton County and ended on Saginaw Street near Damon Street in Flint when the suspect vehicle struck the patrol car.

One trooper was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The suspect is a 20-year-old male from Lansing and he is currently in custody of Bath Township Police.
