BAD AXE -- Two teens and an adult were injured Monday night when a 1994 Chevy pickup crashed into a train near the intersection of Geiger and McMillan roads in Colfax Township near Bad Axe.

Injured were the driver, 16 year old Bradly Lautenschlager of Bad Axe and his passenger, Quinn Bairski.  Both are students at Bad Axe High School.

An adult, Aaron Norman of Fillman was also injured in the crash.  All three have been transported to Covenant Health Care in Saginaw and their condition is unknown at this time.

In a strange twist the engineer of the train, Richard Apley of Kinde is Lautenschlager's uncle.  Apley was not injured in the crash.

Michigan State Police told NBC25 three of the passengers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.  The crossing has no lights or gates.  MSP is still investigating the accident.
