The Flint teen who is accused of dog-fighting is back in custody after removing his electronic tether.

FLINT -- The 14-year-old suspected of being the involved in a dog-fighting ring has been placed back in custody.

Police told NBC25 that the Flint teen removed his electronic tether and is now being held at a juvenile facility until his trial begins.

Back on April 11, five dogs and two puppies were taken by Genesee County Animal Control. Six of those were returned.

Two days prior, five other dogs were seized from home in the 600 block of Bishop.

Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell said those dogs were tortured and three had to be euthanized. Two others were be put for adoption.

The 14-year old boy is believed to be the ringleader.
