MT. MORRIS TOWNSHIP -- Police have identified a suspect they say shot and killed a teenager in Mt. Morris Township earlier this week.

29-year-old Kiunda Burress is wanted in connection with the shooting death of 16-year-old Joshua Stepp.

The incident occurred on Monday evening at the Westwood Heights Mobile Home Park just after 5 p.m.  Police told NBC25 Steppe was shot during a burglary.  The victim is from Pennsylvania and was in town visiting a friend.

Neighbors told NBC25 there's been a longstanding history of problems at the Westwood Heights Mobile Home Park.

"It was all because of drugs that babies dead and nothing was done about it," said local resident Pamela Prather.  "If something had been done about it when the complaints had been made that child over there would never have died."

Friends of Steppe say he was in town to attend a memorial service.
