FLINT -- Thousands call Flint home and now you can add American bald eagles to that list.

A nest along the Flint River has been discovered.

Mark white and his wife hunted for hours after rumors circulated about sightings.

They found a nest with multiple bald eagles between Beecher road and the Flint River.

In 2007 the bald eagle was taken off the endangered species list.

"To be in this area and have a bald eagle they are so majestic. To have them nesting so close to us it's an amazing sight to see," said White.

White says the correct organizations have been notified of the eagles and proper steps will be taken to protect them.
