Flint, MI – Volunteers, Little Brothers and Little Sisters, their families, and community youth groups will join together to support and raise funds for the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters “Kids Bowl-A-Mania” on Sunday, November 16, 2008. Kids Bowl-A-Mania will take place at Galaxy Bowling Center, 2226 E. Hill Road in Grand Blanc. Participants will bowl for one hour between 1:00pm and 5:00pm. The youth bowlers will also enjoy refreshments and earn prizes for bringing in various levels of pledge donations that are tax deductible. The fundraiser provides financial support to help Big Brothers Big Sisters match children with mentors. The organization’s mentoring services and activities are offered free of charge to Genesee County youth enrolled in the organization.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is proud of the dedication of the children to raise money for a program they benefit from and which benefits other Genesee County youth. Their commitment is a true inspiration! The event also kicks off the agency’s largest fundraiser, the Bowling Challenge that will take place February 18-22, 2009.
