BIG RAPIDS (AP) -- Authorities say a man being held for kidnapping and attempted murder remained at large this morning after escaping from a northern Michigan jail. WZZM-TV says 36-year-old Jonathan J. Good last was seen wearing white boxer shorts, a white T-shirt and rubber shoes after escaping through a skylight Wednesday night in Mecosta County.
Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Casey Nemeth says in a statement today that Good was possibly hiding in abandoned housing in the Big Rapids area. Nemeth says Good might have obtained clothing and tried to change his appearance by cutting his hair.
State records show Good had spent time in prison for second-degree murder and armed robbery committed in 1988.
