Some areas of Mid-Michigan were without power on Sunday night and some residents were still in the dark Monday morning. The outage was caused by a conductor failure and heavy snow fall.
Statewide, 20,000 customers were without power, which included 4,000 in Flint, 9,000 in Saginaw and about 978 in Mt. Pleasant.
Originally Consumers had said power would be restored between midnight and 2am, however some are still in the dark. They now say that they are busy working to restore power and hope to have all power restored by the end of the day.
If you are still experiencing power loss, you should contact a Consumers Energy representative at 1-800-477-5050 or through their online form.
