The “Grinch” may have stole Christmas, but a local Grinch stole some Christmas gifts.
The theft took place in the parking-lot of the Target store in Union Township. The suspect was seen on surveillance camera taking packages from the rear passenger side of the victim’s car.
The stolen items are reported to be worth $170 and include a tool box, tools, a cordless Black & Decker drill and some children’s presents.
Isabella County Sheriff, Leo Mioduszewski, said they have identified the woman as a local Mount Pleasant resident. They have interviewed her and she’s confessed to the crime. Mioduszewski said they are also investigating her involvement in other area crimes. Charges will be determined pending the completion of their investigation.
