Crooks are pitching work at home jobs that promise money for helping companies pay clients in other companies. Victims open up bank accounts in their own names, accept payments, and then forward the money to foreign countries. Experts say tougher economic times are helping to persuade people to take risks as unemployment rises and the number of scam pitches escalates.
