SAGINAW -- An 11 year old is in critical condition after being shot by a family member Tuesday afternoon. The shooting occurred on the 2400 block of Hazelwood in Saginaw. Police report a 41year old family member mistook the boy for an intruder and accidentally shot the child.
The child was taken by helicopter to Hurley Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The relative is in custody while police continue investigations. It is unsure at this time how the boy and the shooter are related.
