FLINT (AP) -- Snowmobilers are turning Flint City Cemetery into their personal recreational park. The Flint Journal reports Saturday that snowmobilers are being blamed for tearing up grave sites and knocking down grave stones at the cemetery, which is located in Genesee County's Flint Township.

Vietnam veteran Felix Bessolo says he's watched the snowmobilers in action. The 62-year-old says: "It's just pure disrespect." He lives across the street and has helped take care of the cemetery.

The cemetery is owned and maintained by the city. It's next to a wooded area of hiking trails. Police say the area is difficult to patrol, with dirt bikes at the cemetery a problem during the summer.
