SAGINAW -- As the economy gets worse, people all over the country are being affected.

The arts community in Saginaw is really being impacted.

On Saturday, the Saginaw Club hosted an event to help.

It's the first female event of the year.

"Pamper Me Fashion Retreat" fashion show, luncheon, and vendors; women from all over Saginaw came out to have a good time and to shop.

"We wanted to do something to support the local arts community and something for our female members and non members," said Laureen Lutenski of the Saginaw Club.

"The arts community is really struggling so we thought, this is a good way to give back to the arts and help promote what they do and help to give them some funding."
