WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden will lead a delegation to the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Boise, Idaho.

The White House announced that Biden will watch the final round of Thursday's figure skating competition and present medals to THE athletes.

He also will host a reception for the athletes, their families and volunteers.

Special Olympics programs foster disabled athletes through competition.
