BAY CITY (AP) -- A 93-year-old Bay City man who froze to death inside his home after a utility restricted his power usage left his entire estate to a hospital for its rescue team and rescue equipment. Marvin Schur's will was written in 1982 and was filed Monday in Bay County Probate Court. The Bay City Times reports the will specifies Schur's estate should go to Bay Regional Medical Center for "rescue team and equipment."
Neighbors found Schur dead Jan. 17, several days after Bay City Electric Light & Power workers restricted electricity to his home. His wife died in 2007.
The couple had no children. A nephew has said Schur told him in 2007 he had more than $600,000.
