DEARBORN (AP) -- Authorities say a standoff between police and a gunman holding a Dearborn man hostage in his home has ended peacefully.
The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press report the resident came home late Tuesday to find three men attempting to burglarize his home. Police in the Detroit suburb barricaded the street and surrounded the home.
Two of the three suspects surrendered, but the third barricaded himself in the home with the resident. Police say the homeowner was released unharmed after about an hour, and the third suspect was taken into custody.
The suspects were being held early Wednesday.
