LANSING (AP) -- No members of the Michigan House have given back part of their pay as Gov. Jennifer Granholm has done.
The House Business Office on Tuesday said it doesn't know of any representatives returning money to the Michigan Department of Treasury. The Associated Press sought the information in a Freedom of Information Act request.
The Senate last week said two senators give back some of their pay.
Granholm has returned up to 10 percent of her $177,000 salary every year since taking office in 2003.
A state panel recently recommended that lawmakers, the governor and others take a 10 percent pay cut starting in 2011. But that won't affect many of the current officeholders because term limits require them to step down at the end of 2010.
