GRAND BLANC TWP. (AP) -- A former Flint-area Boy Scouts den leader already facing sex-assault charges involving seven children has been charged with assaulting an eighth child.
Charles Phillips of Grand Blanc Township is charged with nine felonies involving a male victim.
The charges include six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and a count of gross indecency between males.
Phillips already faced seven charges involving children aged 9 to 13.
Phillips is due back in 67th District Court on June 16.
A message seeking comment was left for defense attorney Patricia Lazzio.
