UPLAND, Ind. (AP) - A Taylor University student once thought

dead in a case of mistaken identity has graduated from college.

A school spokesman says Whitney Cerak of Gaylord, Mich.,

received a bachelor's degree in psychology Saturday at the northern

Indiana liberal arts college.

Cerak was thought to have been among the four students who died

with a Taylor staff member when a semi trailer crashed into their

van on Interstate 69 in 2006. Five weeks after the crash, the

family of Laura Van Ryn of Caledonia, Mich., realized the young

woman they thought was their daughter actually was Cerak.
