(AP) -- SAGINAW, Michigan - Saginaw police are cashing in on gold jewelry.

The Saginaw News reports Friday the department raised more than $5,000 in the past two days from 13 jewelry auctions on eBay. Since June 4, the department has raised a total of more than $10,000 selling confiscated or unclaimed items.

More jewelry will go up for sale in the next week. Items for sale will include gold earrings, rings and a bracelet.

Money from the sales goes back to the police department.
