Delphi Steering worker injured in explosion

BUENA VISTA -- A Delphi Steering Plant 1 employee was taken to the hospital after a chemical explosion.

Authorities say a worker was transporing methanol from one container to another when the chemical exploded toward another employee.

The employee was taken to the hospital and the area near the explosion was temporarily evacuated. 

Delphi administration tells NBC25 the employee was treated for burns and released around 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
