(AP) -- Northern Michigan University says it is sponsoring a class this fall offering a broad survey of the state's legal system. The Marquette school says the People's Law School will meet from 7-9 p.m. on Thursdays starting Sept. 17 and ending Nov. 5. It's open to the public with a $25 materials fee.
It says Upper Peninsula lawyers and a judge will give presentations. The legal topics will include bankruptcy, medical malpractice, elder care, employment, divorce and family, car insurance, crime and constitutional issues.
