A 7-year-old Dearborn Heights boy had his right leg ran over in an accident at Tim Horton's restaurant on Wilder and Euclid roads in Bay City.
The boy left the restaurant and started to run to the car in the parking lot. His father noticed an SUV in the lot and yelled for his son to stop. The boy attempted to stop but slid into the SUV, driven by a Bay City man. The driver's front tire ran over the boy's right knee before coming to a stop.
The boy was taken to Bay Regional Medical Center for treatment.
