(AP) -- An Army Ranger killed in Afghanistan will be laid to rest in southeastern Michigan. A funeral service for 19-year-old Army Pfc. Eric Hario will be held Monday morning at St. Mary Church in Monroe. The Archdiocese of Detroit says the soldier from Monroe will be buried at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, about 40 miles south of Detroit.
Hario died Aug. 29 in Paktika province, Afghanistan, after he was shot in combat the previous day. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Ga.
Twenty-nine-year-old Staff Sgt. Jason Dahlke of Orlando, Fla., also was killed in the battle.
