(AP) -- The Detroit school district says comedian and activist Bill Cosby will come back to town to continue boosting efforts to keep students in the troubled system. Enrollment the Detroit School District dropped below 100,000 last year, and Bobb has budgeted for 83,777 students this fall. Classes began Tuesday.

Last week, the 72-year-old Cosby went door-to-door with emergency financial manager Robert Bobb. Gov. Jennifer Granholm appointed Bobb in March to fix the district's finances.

The schools issued a statement Thursday saying Cosby would return to Detroit on Sunday. The statement said details would be announced later.
