HURON COUNTY -- A Huron County fugitive is behind bars.
The Huron County Sheriff’s Department reports at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday, a juvenile girl escaped DHS custody while in the Family Division of Circuit Court.
Sheriff Kelly J. Hanson and the Bad Axe Police Department were able to apprehend the girl around 7:20 p.m. at a traffic stop on Charlotte Drive in Bad Axe. The girl was apprehended.
The girl is currently in the Bay County Juvenile Detention Facility where she is awaiting charges. Those involved in the escape are also awaiting charges.
The Sheriff's Department is not releasing the juvenile's name.
