(AP) -- A 50-year-old Livonia woman has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing-death of her 78-year-old father at their suburban Detroit home. Wayne County prosecutor's spokeswoman Maria Miller says Laura Terzagian appeared in court Wednesday and was ordered jailed. Her preliminary examination is Oct. 1 in Livonia District Court.
It's unknown if Terzagian has a lawyer. No one answered the phone Wednesday night at the Wayne County jail. Miller says Livonia police went to the home and found Harry Terzagian dead Sunday from multiple stab wounds. First-degree murder carries a mandatory penalty of life in prison without parole.
