A Freeland man, who claimed to be robbed at knife point on Thursday, while walking the trails at Tittabawasse Township Park, apparently made up the story.
Tittabawassee Township Police investigators discovered through further investigations that the report was false. David Gould, 63, of Freeland, admitted to one detective that the report was false and that he was never robbed.
At this time investigators have not decided what further action will be taken against the victim/suspect.
