(AP) -- HOLLAND, Mich. (AP) - A west Michigan bottling plant will close at the end of the year, costing 90 employees their jobs. The ProPak plant in Holland is owned by Plano, Texas-based Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. It operates as a contract manufacturing facility for other beverage companies. Its principal product is Gatorade energy drink, a brand owned by PepsiCo Inc. A Dr. Pepper Snapple Group spokesman says Gatorade has decided to do its own bottling, reducing its need for contract manufacturing.
Two other Dr. Pepper Snapple Group facilities in Holland won't be affected by the closing. Employees losing their jobs will receive severance packages and help in finding other jobs.
