Teachers have been picketing for their health insurance plan.
FLINT -- Flint school teachers received a letter Tuesday stating their contracts would be canceled in 15 days.
This comes just days after the teachers filed a lawsuit against the district for breaching the contract and imposing a new health insurance plan. The MEA is not yet sure how this injunction may impact any future contract negotations.
The MEA tells us the teacher’s union has asked for at least 15 new bargaining dates to hammer out the situation.
There will be an informational picket today at 4:00 p.m. at the Sarvis Center regarding the contract cancellation issue.
