(AP) -- LEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 2-year-old boy is dead after an overnight house fire in Allegan County. Firefighters responded around 12:30 a.m. Thursday to the blaze in Allegan County's Lee Township, about 40 miles southwest of Grand Rapids. Nine people were home at the time. Eight were able to escape, but authorities say Scott Ray Bogseth did not make it out and died. He would have turned 3 on Saturday.

Two children were treated at a Kalamazoo hospital, one for smoke inhalation and the other for burns. Additional details weren't immediately released. The cause of the fire is under investigation but arson is not suspected.
