LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — An Arkansas judge has ruled against delaying the trial of a man accused of killing a television anchorwoman.

Pulaski County Judge Chris Piazza rejected arguments that Curtis Lavelle Vance might be mentally disabled and that his trial should be delayed so more tests can be run.

That eliminates the last potential delay for the scheduled Nov. 2 capital murder trial of Vance, who is accused of killing KATV personality Anne Pressly. Vance has pleaded not guilty.

Defense lawyers also asked Piazza to redact parts of Vance's statements to police. Piazza agreed to excise some portions, but left many other parts in.

Pressly was attacked at her home and left mortally wounded on Oct. 20, 2008. She died five days later without regaining consciousness.
