Great news about a local baby who's in for a long road of medical treatment.

NBC25 first introduced you to 10-month-old Brendan Lee Forbes of Burton last week.

His scalp plates aren't growing together the way they should.

At first, his parents didn't know how much their insurance will cover his surgeries and other medical needs.

The family now says all those expenses are 100% covered.

However, there are still other expenses their asking for help with.

Brendan's great uncle Robert Plew says, "They're going to be at the Ronald McDonald house in Detroit for 12 weeks and they're going to need expense money there, gas money to get around, and they have to provide their food for 12 weeks."

Here's how people can help:

Robert Plew can be contacted at (810) 618-0888.

Citizen Bank locations are accepting donations in the name of Brendan Lee Forbes.

People can also give blood at any Red Cross location, specifying it's for Brendan Lee Forbes.

Type A-negative blood is needed.
