A Michigan State Trooper finds himself on the other side of the law charged with raping two women.
Joseph Donovan, 48, of Dewitt is charged with 10 counts, including first-degree criminal sexual conduct, punishable by life in prison.
Police say he met the victims at the Cheetah's Club in Lansing.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton is in charge of the case.
"It is not easy to stand up here as a prosecutor knowing we have charged a fellow law enforcement person with such a grievous crime," Leyton said. "But it has to be done."
Donovan has been on the force for 25 years.
The alleged incidents happened in March and April of 2008.
