The Shiawassee County Sheriffs Office is investigating a single vehicle ATV accident which occurred near the intersection of Juddville and State Rd. in Newhaven Twp. in Shiawassee County. The accident occurred early Wednesday morning at 12:08 A.M.
Preliminary investigation indicates that 35 year-old Kevin James Wiley of Owosso was driving a 2009 Yamaha quad runner east bound through a field near the intersection of Juddville Rd. Wiley’s quad runner then crashed into a large field drainage ditch and Wiley was thrown from the ATV. Wiley was transported to Owosso Memorial Hospital by Corunna Ambulance were he died as a result of his injuries. Wiley was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Assisting the Shiawassee County Sheriffs Office at the scene was Corunna Area Ambulance.
This accident remains under investigation by the Shiawassee County Accident Reconstruction Team.
