It's a symbol of the town. The town is named after it.
However, Tuesday November 24th, the old State Street bridge in Bridgeport Township is the center of controversy.
There's a proposed $2.3 million dollar project to fix up the 103 year old bridge and eventually create a thoroughfare for walkers into downtown.
Two businesses next to the bridge say the development would block traffic into their stores.
There's an informational meeting Tuesday, November 24th, starting at 6 p-m at the Bridgeport Township Governmental Center.
