SAGINAW COUNTY -- Saginaw Sheriff's deputies are working this holiday on a series of break-ins in the Chesaning area.
County authorities say several businesses and homes along the M-57 and M-52 area have been broken into over the past week. Authorities say robbers made off with a reported $10,000 to $12,000 in merchandise.
The stolen items include everything from tools, jewelry, cash and even prescription drugs.
Sheriff Bill Federspiel tells NBC25 News that he would like to warn residents in that area to leave lights on and notify police of any suspicious activity. A total of 14 break-ins have been reported.
