Multiple agencies are joining forces to address the huge need in MidMichigan this holiday season.
The Salvation Army of Midland County, Dow Chemical, Re/Max, the United Way, and all of its partners are combining efforts to get food, toys, clothing, and funds to needy MidMichigan families.
This first-ever "Feed the Need" program includes a $15,000 match by Dow Chemical and Re/Max.
David Winder, Dow Chemical Spokesman, says "MidMichigan means a lot to us. This community means a lot to us, and Dow is participating where it can."
Bridget Sullivan of the Railway Family Center says, "We're seeing an increased need this year. It's such an intense need. A lot of families are coming in for the first time ever. The families we have in the past have more need this year."
Matthew O'Neil, captain at the Salvation Army of Midland County says, "I don't think there's any other way we could do it individually, other than joining forces."
You can drop off non-perishable food items at the Re/Max location on Eastman Street, Dow Corporate at Swede and Haley, and Dow Michigan Operations at the 1790 building.
