(AP) -- DETROIT - Detroit police say they've confiscated nearly $1 million worth of counterfeit clothing and apparel during raids. Police announced Thursday the raids took place during the past week on the city's east side. They say several businesses were misrepresenting cheap clothing and apparel under labels including Coach, Polo and Gucci.
A news conference was planned for Thursday afternoon to discuss the case. Police say shoppers looking for deals ahead of Christmas could be duped into thinking the items were bargains instead of knockoffs.
