Michigan gov.: Lower flags for Pearl Harbor Day

(AP) -- LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm has asked people across Michigan to lower U.S. flags to half-staff. The governor made the request for Monday, which is Pearl Harbor Day. She says it should be part of an effort to remember those who nlost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.

She says flags should be returned to full-staff Tuesday.
