No need to give up this treat. Here’s your chance to pile on the veggies, have extra sauce. Have a minimum of lean protein if you must. Also ask for part-skim mozzarella cheese. A little goes a long way with this one. Pair it up with a tossed salad and you’re good to go.
Healthy Eating Tip No. 4: Breakfast Cereals With Fewer Than 3 Grams of Fiber Need Not Apply
Seek and ye shall find, cereal with more than 3 grams of fiber.
Healthy Eating Tip No. 5: Pump Up the Protein
Make it a rule to have protein at every meal and snack. Bone up on your resources there’s more to protein than meat, pork, poultry or lamb.
Healthy Eating Tip No. 6: Keep Score of Fruits and Vegetables
Try to include a fruit and a veggie at each meal
Healthy Eating Tip No. 7: Have Alcohol Only on Weekends
Limit your liquor to the weekends (Friday and Saturday) and keep it to no more than two.
Healthy Eating Tip No. 8: Have an After-Dinner Drink
Hot tea of a low-fat decaf latter helps to take the edge of the dessert cravings. If all else fails have a half whole wheat English muffin with a smear of fruit spread with it.
Healthy Eating Tip No. 9: Pre-Dinner Produce Munchies
Munch a bunch of cut up fruits and veggies if you need a before dinner bite.
Healthy Eating Tip No. 10: Count 4 Colors in Each Meal
Color me Healthy!! Aim to have at least four different colors on your plate.
