(AP) -- Upper Peninsula authorities say a man is dead after he was thrown from the snowmobile he was driving and struck a sign. Police tell WLUC-TV that 45-year-old Robert Kiviniemi was driving a snowmobile when he missed the corner at an intersection.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported. Police believe speed and alcohol may have been a factor. An investigation is ongoing.
