(AP) -- HAZEL PARK, Mich. (AP) - An overpass destroyed five months ago in a fiery tanker crash on Interstate 75 near Detroit has been replaced and is set to officially reopen. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned Monday morning on the northbound I-75 service drive at 9 Mile Road in Hazel Park. Crews started work in October.

Michigan Department of Transportation spokesman Rob Morosi said crews will return next spring to rebuild a half-mile stretch of the freeway to lower the road surface by two inches below the overpass. Federal standards call for a 14-foot, 8-inch underclearance. That project is expected to run from April to July 2010.

A 27-year-old Clawson resident paid a $150 fine for speeding and said he caused the July 15 crash that also involved a fuel tanker and a semi-truck.
