(AP) -- LANSING, Mich. - A new statewide poll shows Michigan voters aren't very impressed with how President Barack Obama or Gov. Jennifer Granholm are doing their jobs.
The poll released Thursday by EPIC-MRA of Lansing shows 600 likely voters give the Democratic president a 55 percent negative job rating, with just 44 percent saying he's doing a good job.
Just under half - 49 percent - have a favorable opinion of Obama, while 45 percent have an unfavorable opinion.
The numbers are worse for Granholm. Seventy percent give the seven-year Democratic governor a negative job rating, with just 29 percent positive. Forty-one percent have a favorable opinion of her, with 55 percent unfavorable.
The poll was conducted Dec. 6-9. It had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
