BIRCH RUN -- Shoppers rushed in for last minute Christmas shopping Thursday afternoon at the Prime Outlets in Birch Run.
"It’s Christmas Eve; (shoppers) are not working, so they're enjoying it, they still have a few things to pick up,” said Marketing Manager Phil Whitsel.
Tons of people were out in a frenzy to pick up those last minute items on their list.
"We actually came here and ended up buying more last minute gifts for ourselves,” said shopper Kari Sherry.
Many others took advantage of store mark downs and promotions.
"They're doing like half off on a lot of stuff, like 70% off,” Dan Sherry Marquette resident.
Only a few retail stores remained open Thursday night; and with so few stores and so little choices, gift cards turned out to be the best option for hassle free shopping.
“It gives them the ultimate flexibility to get whatever they want, maybe something on their list that Santa didn't bring them this year,” said Phil Whitsel.
