For most people the snow Friday morning means a white knuckle drive on snow covered roads. For others, it means much needed work.

The owner of Myer’s Landscape had his crews out at 1:00 a.m. clearing the parking lot at the Prime Outlets at Birch Run.  It’s a job that takes six to eight hours.   Robert French says his employees are happy to get hours.  After all, this year has seen much less snow that the past couple of years.

The snowfall numbers back him up.

According to the National Weather Service, the Flint weather station measured 17.1 inches in December 2007, 29.1 inches in December 2008, and only 12.5 inches in December 2009.

French says he hopes the snow keeps on coming.
